Course: SSTLS
Name: Sean Gledhill

I feel that the first 4 modules were the best and got a lot out of Goal setting. Especially the focus Goals. I have learnt the laser which I feel otherwise I wouldn’t have put the effort in as time would have been an excuse. I was empowered to get back into my weight loss through both win win goals and focus goals. I also done the Tat200 which I thought I had no chance of doing through fitness but with internal motivation I was able to achieve this big task not only getting fit but completing it in lead group.

Course: SSTLS
Name: Chris Belic

the main strategies I got from this training are goal setting, better time utilisation and the importance of your team members. these are things I will carry with me for the rest of my life, not just in work, but also in day to day living.

Course: SSTLS

I think that 90% of the course days were filled with informative information and enjoyable. I have been able to notice a big difference in the workplace of my team. I have achieved all my set goals so far to this point. I also think that the CD’s and space repetition is a good way to study.

VIVANT

Course: TPE
Name: Tony Boskovic

I enjoyed and benefited from this course as it is very different compared to most of the others I have done. It made me examine my attitudes and alter my behaviour to improve my performance. A particularly enjoyable aspect was hearing problems and ideas from the other course participants – if this course was done alone it would not be as enjoyable. The most measurable improvement I made was reducing my average weekly hours from ~50 down to ~40 whilst still completing and spending an increased amount of time on my HPAs. The other real benefit of this course is it made for me is it made some existing dysfunction we had in our organisation apparent and paved the way to improve or even eliminate the situation.

I have accomplished a few things while being in this course most of it good, With the meeting’s every morning so everyone knows what is expected of them during the day. Daily goal setting has been great to do as well as a “to do list”.

AFC GROUP PTY. LTD.

Course: COL
Name: Ken Priest

Understanding the importance of setting SMART written goals and planning processes were 2 of the big things that I got out of the course, along with the effects on myself & my team when it came to managing myself, & efficiently managing my own time. Documenting my HPAs & doing the time analysis made me understand just how much time was being spent on things that I have now delegated to members of my team. I now get to spend a LOT more time managing & leading my team – yep, the purpose of my role. I now believe that I am a much better manager, as well as being a strong leader of my team – to me coaching & mentoring my team is not as daunting a task as it used to be. Watching my team develop under my leadership has now become my top priority, & it pleases me no end to see my individual team members achieve career & development goals of their own.

Being new to the sales industry, this course has given me a huge leg up on how I should be conducting my day to day activities. There are some key takeaways from this course which I will review independently post-course on a regular basis so it stays fresh.

Structure, gradually covering all areas from time management to team development. I really liked certain bits of information that would come out each week such as ‘use feedback as an educational opportunity’. I do this constantly now and I believe it is really powerful. I actually thought that I might offend staff initially but the response has positive on all occasions.

BANKWEST

Course: LMR
Name: Garry Cutler

I found that interactions with team members is so much easier now when using the tools such as the feedback log are concerned. Time management is also a great win for me, I now use the imperative/important lists every day and find I am achieving more as my day is more focussed. For me the greatest win/win was the setting of goals and focus goals. Focus goals make it so much easier to break down the larger daunting tasks into smaller achievable tasks while keeping me on track.

Course: LMR
Name: Karen Stones

I enjoyed the course as it helped me to understand that for the most part I do most of the things identified in the material. Those areas that I did not naturally do, such as focus on high payoff activities and delegation of duties is now coming with practice and has resulted in me having more time in my day to focus on stakeholder management

Course: LMR
Name: Carl Munro

Certain things like dentists appointments and car servicing which I have been putting off for years finally got done once I committed myself to achieving that goal

Course: LMR
Name: Quan Vo

The fact that the course was confronting. The assignments made us review our behaviours and our habits in order to identify the relevant development needs and changes we require to move forward.

Course: LMR
Name: Joshua Qwek

The most enjoyable aspect of the course is the ability to interact with other participants, sharing about their experiences and challenges, getting immediate feedback from the wealth of experiences of the moderator. It also provide a lot of useful tools and techniques that can be used in practical way.

Course: LMR
Name: Crede Harrison

When I started this course I felt the engagement of my staff was quite low, their motivation was low and their stress levels were high. Since then I have incorporated a variety of new ideas that I have gained from the course and I have managed my team into a positive and more involved team who look after their own work load rather than me having to look over their shoulder to ensure that they are doing the right thing and are proactive in improving their work environment, which has made them happier to be at work.

Course: LMR
Name: Mark Haynes

Massive improvement using time management techniques, especially around management of email, using the imperative/important prioritisation process and the identification of high payoff activities. Workshops very enjoyable and worthwhile. Using goal setting techniques have also helped a great deal on a personal level. John is an excellent facilitator and was imperative to the success of the course. I enjoyed the practical nature of the exercises. I believe that what you put into this course is proportional to what you get out of it.

Course: LMR
Name: Gavin Mackrill

The course reinforced a lot of what I already do but it was good in getting me to overcome some personal “weakness” in my own habits and ways of doing thing.

Course: LMR
Name: Will Appleford

Best thing about the course: the broad variety of people in the workshops, their varying levels of skill, knowledge and experience with issues in the workplace. These workshops really rounded the whole experience for me and it was great to hear the different viewpoints of everyone there, as it made the content that much more relevant. It was good to get the theory and then go out into the workplace, carry it out in practice and then come back and talk about it. I haven’t been on any other course that offers that balance of theory with practice and feedback. Measureable results: 11 hours a week more spent on my HPA’s. Just knowing what my HPA’s are and how I usually spent my time were big wins and offered me a baseline from which to improve. Goals accomplished: improved motivation of others, improved communications with others, improved personal time management, improved levels of delegation within my team.

Course: MHP
Name: Will Appleford

I thought I understood something of team culture and the management of change but I realise now I probably knew just enough to be dangerous. This course gave me a good footing in the basics of these subjects and practical ideas on what to do with it.

Course: COL

The course itself was enjoyable and it was reassuring to find that the methods and ideas I had for being a good leader were similar to those in the course. I felt like I was already on the right track so this made the course a little easier for myself.

Course: COL
Name: Matthew Bunt

Through participating in the course I have gained much insight into the challenges leaders face on a day to day basis in the current modern day work environment. I have been able to easily identify many of the topics discussed with my own workplace and leadership style which has enabled me to readily adopt the techniques taught during the course and incorporate them into my day to day work. By creating goals which not only benefit me to help out achieving my HPA’s they have also greatly benefitted my company as I am now a more efficient leader, have better time management, more approachable and more focused on the team and its outcomes.

Course: COL
Name: James McGregor

Thoroughly enjoyed this course John Menz was a fantastic coach. The skills I have learned throughout this course has given me a great amount of confidence to hopefully go on to bigger and better things. As a football coach these skills I have acquired have been a huge benefit and have been noticed by my team in a positive way

CITY OF GREATER BENDIGO

Course: TPE
Name: Debbie Thewlis

The most enjoyable aspect of the course for me was the realisation that I could make significant changes / improvements to my work practices and my efficiency by doing some very simple things. The measurable results are showing in my increased efficiency, including things such as : a) less interruptions b) more structured meetings, c) improved processes for delegation d) improved communication with my coordinator team. I achieved most of my goals – many of these resulted in improved efficiencies, processes and practices and also in increased delegations to my team. The increased delegations were implemented within the parameters of the principles learned in the course – and the results have been very pleasing.

Course: TPE
Name: Lara Tate

The challenge of having to look at your own performance and question why you do what you do and pushing yourself to change your thinking / behaviours / routines / habits. A lot of what we learnt I already had an understanding of it, but the tools that were introduced to me ensured that I had the ability to put a plan in place to ensure I achieved my goals. Really liked the imperative / important task list, the NEAT meeting planner and the discussion planners.
