COMBINED METAL INDUSTRIES

Course: TPE
Name: Paul Forrest

I have felt that I was doing a good job – this course has made me realise that I am. I do feel more confident about my performance levels – that I am doing a lot of things right, but there is also room to make small improvements or adjustments – Slight Edge Delegation of tasks has always been an issue for me – I believe that I can now manage trusting other team members to perform tasks to the best of their abilities Above the line approach / thinking – something I have always endeavoured to achieve – Good re-enforcement Good help with looking at my Time Management & work practices to make some improvements Personally during the course my wife & myself have had an increase to our family – baby boy Franklin William Forrest. This has been a very rewarding, but also challenging period in my life (obviously).

CUSTOM CARTONS

Course: TSE
Name: Ross McLaren

I loved the diversity the group of people brought to the course. It reinforced the idea that everyone is different and their background and experiences bring something new and exciting to the table. Deb Hann is an inspirational facilitator with the way she has helped everyone in the course grow from day one till completion. The way she communicates and finds a connection with each participant is fantastic. I would love to have Deb involved in our business with some coaching or mentoring in the future. This course has provided the foundation that has underpinned my 6 years in sales. I have been a sales representative for 6 years however have never really understood the complete process. LMA has provided this framework for me. As far as measurable results it is hard to quantify. I now however know what activities create the best opportunity for great results and I have a sound understanding of my customer needs through understanding their communication styles. I have achieved probably the most important goal to me and that is the ability to formulate and deliver a sales presentation which covers Rapport, Discover, Solution and most importantly ACTION.

DHL GLOBAL FORWARDING

Course: COL
Name: Baden Busby

Going into the course I was quite sceptical, but after a few group sessions I could already see some benefit. This was not only from the course material, but also from sharing ideas with the others in the group.

Course: COL

I have learnt to take time and understand listen and the take action and also ask staff for positive feedback. I have started to build a trust and change old culture into new positives for the team. Also communication being open with staff and working with them for a positive result for all involved.

Course: COL

My time management has definitely improved from the time I began this course, my methods to better manage my staff during some testing times, either through cross training or changing of areas within the warehouse, but one of my main changes that I’m proud of is the improvement of team moral overall. Spending time with Paul Johnson was extremely enjoyable and if I was fortunate enough to participate in any other training with Paul I would know that not only would I discover new skills for my job, but in life itself.

LMA course improved my time management and communication skills.

The friendliness and enthusiasm from Paul Johnson being the facilitator has increased the interest of course participants. Goal setting through action steps is imperative to ensure succeed in life. Even though most of us have our core duty in our role but not many realized what the HPA should be and ROI where the employer is expecting. Focusing on HPA helps me in executing my role more efficiently. Delegation of task not just allowing us to focus on our own HPA also able to upskill team members, create better career advancement.

Course: COL

The interaction within the group meetings and the way Paul helped each person to contribute. Shy ones like me had to share and the more extravert had to learn to wait for me. – very encouraging.

Course: COL
Name: Lloyd Piper

Overall I enjoyed the course and found the content very relevant to my role. At first I found a lot of the material and information in the course to be common knowledge, however its how they get you to use and apply this information and material which I found extremely beneficial. The biggest surprise was that this was not only applicable to work but I have found it very beneficial within my personal life as well.

Course: COL
Name: Christine Ewan

I have thoroughly enjoyed this course and looked forward to the class sessions which have been like therapy for me. I’m going to miss the interaction with the group and the sharing of good ideas. I’ve grown as a mentor and manager. The techniques and skills learned during this course have been life changing after 20 years I finally have a good life / work balance.

I had a team member that did not want to be there. I had tried everything I could think of and nothing was working in fact his attitude and behaviour was appalling. Through using the ” I ” messages in a performance appraisal forum we began a discussion that has completely changed his attitude to work and his colleagues. The man working in my team now is well liked and respected. The change has been remarkable.

EAGLE LIGHTING AUSTRALIA PTY LTD

Course: TSE
Name: Chris Bortone

I felt constantly being forced to stand in front of the class eventually I developed the confidence to do it time and time again and not dread it as much as I used to. The course has given me more confidence in my sales role. It has improved my organising skills by introducing key factors such as focus goals, action steps, to-do lists, etc. I also thought the material given to us (folders, CD’s) were very good and wasn’t too hard to read.

FANTECH PTY LTD

Course: COL
Name: Russell McNally

This has been a very valuable and informative course full of interesting topics and extremely well presented . The people presenting and advising were excellent and the group I got to know were a great bunch all striving for the same results, not just personal results but more so professional results. It is a lot of hard work but I can see the value in all I have completed. Time management is a key to getting through personal life , work and the course. I believe the most interesting part was the change and innovation module and continuous improvement module. There were probably the two that I could relate to most but the majority of the course content was directly related to the work that I do. I truly believe that this will lead to bigger and better things for myself and our company in the future and look forward to the challenges ahead.

Really enjoyed a lot of the class discussions ( when you could get a word in ) on various topics as generally everyone had very good input. Have already rolled out some of our project BOM review results which we can measure in our loading capacity and costings. My leadership team has really matured over the last few of months and we have become a focused and much closer knit group.

Was a pretty good course would suit younger managers better

Course: HPM
Name: Frank Cosentino

The most enjoyable aspects of the course were the workshops particularly when the group discussed “The best Idea” of that module as it gave you other peoples perspective on the same subject. I also particularly liked hearing the groups personal and business focus goals. Measurable results: A much greater portion of my time is now spent on HPA, this is also the case for my team. Low payoff activities are now delegated when possible or shelved as a non priority. The course focussed on the importance of planning and ensuring you spent more time planning than implementing, l think this has been my greatest improvement. Given the very high workload during the running of the course, completing it was a major achievement. My change project is almost complete also which is another achievement. My greatest learning from the course was the value cycle and its focus on activities that provide value to your customer, and if they don’t you shouldn’t be doing them.

Course: TSE
Name: Allan Braines

HPA focus greatly improved. Work efficiency improved. Feel more professional & confident. Better equipped to build relationships. Better focus on Great Questions.

Course: TSE
Name: Aniela Chrzanowski

I enjoyed all aspects of the course. My fellow class mates were easy to talk to and gave a great insight to their experiences as most of them have been in a sales role for a long time. I found that by starting this course I was able to progress in my career quicker than I expected by being promoted from an internal sales role to an external sales role and I was only about half way through the course. I have also had wins with customers who were not buying off us on a regular basis and I found that learning the basics and working on them can achieve great results with customers. I found that I am now questioning what we do as a company more and also look at other avenues to succeed in completing the sales process.

G&S ENGINEERING

Course: HPM
Name: Paul Collins

The course was very beneficial to me in both cementing principles and practices I was already aware of as well as providing me with new philosophies and tools to improve both my leadership and management skills. The content was extremely relevant to my role and I have adopted a number of the ideas from the course in my day to day work. This has led to more effective use of my time, reduced stress and better relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organisational structure. I have achieved personal and professional growth through completion of the course which has already led to notable improvements in both areas of my life.

Course: HPM
Name: David Bampton

It has taught me to use a structured approach to all parts of my business. I has also shown me that there are excellent tools learnt from this coarse to assist in solving issues.

Course: HPM
Name: Graeme Jackson

While I have experienced a lot of this information in the past this course is well laid out and practically driven towards our type of business. I was also a review and a good opportunity to utilise the subjects within the department to grow myself and my staff.

Course: HPM
Name: Ian Gray

I thoroughly enjoyed the workshops as Stuart made the process practical and adapted the pace of the workshop to suit the needs of the participants attending. I really enjoyed learning about the ADAPT model and will use this moving forward. The course was also a great refresher for some key learning’s from previous courses, which was great for me especially moving back into an operational role from a functional support role.

HAMBURG SUD

Course: TPE
Name: Raul Ronco

The most important is the change on the mind set for a goal setting oriented and large set of tools and tricks provided during the course and work shops to pursue the completion and achievement of the focus goals and win-win agreements. All except 1 win-win agreement have been completed, and the one not completed is ready but waiting for response of managers for an already set meeting. Some of the achievements allow me to move to more challenging tasks and position inside the company, which has been already discussed and in process with the general management level in the region. Very much enjoyable the interaction in the workshops with the facilitator and the different participants from different industries and backgrounds, sharing similar challenges but different opinions and point of view about the same topics.

INSTANT FINANCE

Course: LMR
Name: Adrian Hatt

For me the sharing of experiences with an external peer group was invaluable. The identification of the necessity of HPA’s how to effectively manage time, the importance of understanding staff from their point of view not mine etc. Goal planning, the ability to shut my office door, making my priorities a priority rather than other people’s. WIN WIN goals in terms of tracking the progress of projects big or small. Some of my teams are now having regular meaningful meetings and helping in the planning progress towards continuous improvement. The course facilitator made the learning process easy to follow and the application into the workplace in a practical sense was easily explained and constantly referred to.

KADEGO PTY LTD

Course: COL
Name: Stephen Layton

I found the course to be very rewarding, I particularly enjoyed the class contact sessions. Having a forum where we could discuss or listen the problems or successes of other members of the group and peoples advice on these issues was particularly beneficial. Having the course structured so that activities involved making changes to the way I or my team work or to systems in my workplace made the course content more meaningful and had an instant impact on our team. I went into the course thinking I was a pretty good manager, I soon found that there were a number of things I needed to change for my and my teams benefit. There were also a number of areas where the course reinforced that we were doing things the right way. I achieved a number of workplace goals and also some major personal goals.

Course: COL
Name: Geoffrey Alan Langridge

Although I find it difficult to define individual gains and to put a dollar value on the outcomes of the course, I feel that I learned a lot and improved my skills in almost all areas of leadership. As a well educated professional I did begin this course with some scepticism as to how valuable it would be. That was quickly put to bed though, as my course facilitator made several points very early in the course that won me over. I have found the course invaluable and would recommend it to anyone interested in improving their leadership skills.

Course: COL
Name: Jodie Downes

Most enjoyable: getting the vision to leave the job I was in which made me miserable. Most measurable result was having the confidence to take on a new business and believe in myself that I can do it. This course really has change my life both personally and professionally. I did hear it could do that but really didn’t think it would happen for me. So glad I was told to do the course. It really has changed my life for the better.
