Course: COL
Name: Kim Gregg

I enjoyed the entire course and it was great how we could apply the learnings back into our workplace. I was able to achieve all my focus goals, win/win goals and workplace project. I was also able to submit all work on or before time. The case studies were also a great idea and it is good to discuss these things with your groups so you could get other peoples ideas. It was great having our small team at Greystanes, here for each other because we were all able to support each other through the course. Forming these friendships with these guys plus the rest of the class is invaluable and we will be able to support each other in the future also.

This course has made me much more confident in my management position, it has been a great asset to myself and the my team. It has taught me to set goals and create action steps to help me achieve the goals that I have set myself. Not only for myself but it has taught me to encourage team members to set goals for themselves and allowed me to advise them on action steps to achieve their goals. We have made a lot of improvements to the way we pick, pack and dispatch our orders as a result of completing this course which has improved our efficiency and the teams performance. The way our agency is running now compared to before is unbelievable.

LMA has been a wonderful experience for me both professionally and personally. It has taught me the importance of goal setting activities to enable me to get through those daunting daily activities and to-do-lists. Attending the monthly workshops has enabled me to learn a great deal more about my own organisation and understand the challenges faced by my colleagues. The workshops provided a safe and comfortable learning environment where open discussion and encouraged and promoted. I look forward to continuing to use the skills and tools that LMA has provided me with, especially as a progress to more senior leadership roles within my organisations.

I learnt a lot from the course about time management. As I had so much on my plate in the last few months I had to use the following skills. These were all covered & developed in the course – delegation based on staffs skill sets – team dynamics – presentation skills – what is your time worth, ensuring you are adding value to your work & delegating tasks to other staff – staff training, staff empowerment – goal setting

Course: COL
Name: David Foyle

The most enjoyable aspect of the course was the environment that was created by our facilitator Peter Seaton. This ensured that there was involvement from all individuals within the course. Particularly through the case studies and other group activities, we were able to learn more about each other. Everybody was motivated to achieve and always provided input and feedback. It was great to challenge myself, like I haven’t been challenged in quite a while. And quite enjoyable to realise some of that hidden potential. I am now so much more organised. I am goal orientated. I no longer try and take everything on myself and regularly delegate tasks to more suitable individuals. I am constantly referring back to my HPA’s to ensure that the balance of my efforts are directed to the correct areas. I now look to further my learning and knowledge with a greater sense of eagerness. I have achieved the majority of my win-win goals with outstanding results. I have a greater respect for project managers as part of the project that I completed and a great sense of achievement from the results that we were able to record. I would like to thank all other participants in this course and I have forged great relationships with these people that I know will prove beneficial to both myself and the organisation in the future.

I have a few too many reasons to my successes, most enjoyable was to be able to actually be enrolled in this course, opportunities do not come easy. Interacting with others of higher roles and learning from them. I know this might sound sad, when commencing this course I had no goals however now I have goals that I have set and achieved successfully, personally and business and I will continue setting goals for myself and achieving them. It has made me feel good about myself in so many ways. I have gained confidence, made decisions in completing tasks on my own by looking outside the square, working together with the team and achieving results. One of my goals was to attend a public speaking course, this will be achieved early in 2013, as for now I have conducted 10 presentations, on site inductions and 1 presentation regarding one of my other goals, my workplace project, which is on re-slotting of the GSK products, in our KPI meeting on the 21/11/2012 in front of the Client, the workplace project will be achieved by December 2012. Working towards my project I have faced challenges and issues, however I have achieved these with great results. My other goal was to implement to our agency the RF system checking process, as previously this was conducted manually, this was successfully achieved. I am currently working towards another goal by creating a new systems procedure within the clients SAP system and our Manhattan system. I will continue to achieve the goals that I set for myself, progressing to other roles of the business, learning more and challenging myself in other areas, being happy.

I actually enjoyed this course thoroughly, all aspects. The interaction with similar people in other contracts of our company, The relationship I developed with my mentor and course coach. My biggest success was my workplace project being picked as a first choice initiative, and seeing the tangible benefits of completing this task. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is thinking of participating or who is nominated to participate.

the course was good in that it enabled me to get to know some of the other leaders from different parts of the company and form a bond with them. I have noticed that I am more organised in my daily activities and having established my HPA’s am able to spend more time on my more profitable duties. Because of this course I have learned to delegate better, I have thought my co-ordinator to complete a daily report which goes to the client, he now does this as part of his job. During the course I completed a one day l
eadership course which was a win-win goal. My wife gave birth to our 4th child during the course which put strain on my application to the course but in turn the course material will help me create structures and organisation in the home.

Win Win Goals are now a big part of my life, as well has focus Goals, being able to sit with my pears in the course and arranging a meeting every month was great to catch up and learn of them. Doing the case studies have been a lot of fun, to get other peoples Opinions as well. Having a better understanding of how to do a work place project has been a hard learning experience, but also of great satisfaction. Thank you, I have taken many things away with me over the past 7 months, All the tools in the modules are of great benefit.

The Business Goal and Personal Goal on each lesson is a good tool as a tool to remind me daily on what I wanted to accomplish – a step-at-a-time. The topic about why manager is responsible for individual learning strike me the most. The well-being of individual employee will ultimately affect his productivity. Individual will not know what they can accomplish if we do not initiate any change in them. Recognising that not all employees will have the same capacity but if we just allow a handful to develop and grow, the company itself will benefit from this tomorrow star.

HOWARD WRIGHT LTD

I really got a lot out of setting constant goals, what is my time worth, HPA’s and important/imperative list. I was able to justify in my own mind at not doing some work until later, as they needed to make way for HPA’s. It helped me focus during a busy time.

INTEC CONSULTING GROUP

Course: COL
Name: Sichandy Phuy

I am very glad to understand and aware of all good concepts learned from LMA

Course: COL
Name: Debbie Walsh

Each module taught me something. Like:- Documenting and completing time analysis sheets to identify HPA’s and low payoff activities which helped me achieve changing my seating position within the firm. Leading change and Innovation where I investigated, documented and presented a proposal to the 1 company directors to get them to consider a 3 phase change implementation regarding the firms telephone system, front of house set up and filling the Reception/Administration Assistant role, as this role remains unfilled since February 2012. The outcome was that I was successful in getting approximately 50% of it across the line which was a big win To:- Implementing better communication lines by setting up weekly informal 1:1 catch ups with all Management, Core Sales Group and the CEO. Along the way I have also fine-tuned and strengthened my delegation skills, re found my voice, re learnt how to say ‘no’ and to push back and ask ‘why’. Looking forward, I feel I have much more defined focus, strength and determination to achieve any goal I may set myself, both in the workplace and at home and I have LMA to thank for that. What I’ve learnt taught and allowed me to gain skills and tools I’d either not previously had or just simply forgotten how to do.

LMA’s High Performance Management course has been enjoyable and useful for my professional development. The content has been relevant to building a good team environment through collaboration, delegation and respect. The focus on positive methods and outcomes is really key to creating a productive workplace. The course was well facilitated by John Menz and the interaction with professionals from other industries facing similar challenges was welcome and enjoyable.

KARSTENS

Course: TSE
Name: Paul Lacchiana

The first half the course I was not sure what to expect. I only had a very basic knowledge of sales and was hesitant to open myself up to a new way of thinking especially when I am more customer service focused. I did feel a little lost and overwhelmed at the start however as the weeks went on I felt more and more sure about my sales ability and just how much sales I was doing in my day to day work without even realising it.. I am enjoying the second half of the course as this is something I can relate to. Things from the start of the course till now are starting to all make sense and ideas and processes are coming into play and its every interesting to watch the company grow and change each week as the course goes on.

Course: TSE

My back ground is in hospitality operations and although I have made a few sales in my time this was not an organized effort. The LMA course gave me a more structured approach to sales and a better understanding of how to manage a sales team. The flow on effect is that we invested in better Sales reporting systems and are in the progress to have KPI’s for all our full time staff.

Course: HPM

Awareness of my own strengths and weaknesses, putting into practice the learnings and seeing peers sit up and listen to my solid understanding of what it takes to inspirational. Mentoring my direct manager through this course has also empowered me as I know now how to communicate and motivate him when I see him getting bogged down. Gaining a greater sense of worth through respecting myself enough to prioritise my health and fitness to have a place in my daily routine, greater confidence and huge improvement in self esteem Patience with kids and focusing on being a better father and husband on the home front, leading by example in relation to being positive and supportive. This course has been life changing. I now feel empowered to work towards my life goals. Brand Clyde is shining bright.

Course: HPM
Name: Tony Shinkfield

The first half of the course was immediately beneficial to my time management and clarified my workload. No longer the white noise workday. Being goal oriented is essential, for the individual and their team members, and as per previous training, is has been exceptionally beneficial to be able to compartmentalise and label, the processes that I have outlined for goal success. I will continue to use many of the tools provided. Measurable, tangible results in this are difficult to quantify, except in that I now have a structured day, less interruptions. A productivity increase of 5-10% is my feeling of the improvement. My personal goals were very successful. This is due to actually structuring the goal (house renos) and treating the project like a project, not just a ‘suck and see how much it costs’ weekend adventure. Achieving business goals, again in an organised way, really assisted in clarifying the steps, and dividing the large goals up into a listed sequence, was the largest benefit I achieved. I work in large projects as part of my role, and essentially, the goal process that I use for business is simply a scaled down version of the Project Systems that we use on large projects.

This will be the second diploma I have received of this number but it is the first one that has actually taught me to lead well and become an engaged employee. This course is a credit to it’s constructors, facilitators and coaches and will be strongly recommended as a mandatory part of our companies professional development

Course: HPM
Name: Jeffrey Pearson

I believe that the level of business maturity has increase in the central region for our company, I have noticed positive changes in both my other fellow peers whom attended the course and put this down to the content the LMA course has provided. We knew most of the content from previous learnings but failed to commit to using the tools, this course has given us all a booster shot to enable us to realise our full potential to move the business in the right direction and under the right leadership model. I enjoyed the diversity and honesty of the other fellow participants, I also enjoyed the teaching style that Jim delivered and a big thank you to the coaches for the support and mentoring to get across the line…. Thank You for the opportunity, friendship, encouragement and the commitment to ensure that we understood and received the messages and tools that will assist us to develop and fine tune our leadership skills and capabilities.
