STEP INTO LIFE

Course: TPE
Name: Jay Verrico

The best part of the course, for me, was the participation in the workshops, the ability to brainstorm and network with other people who were at varying levels of career development gave me access to varied and diverse opinions and approaches to a more productive workplace. Since undertaking the course I have achieved a greater focus on results both within the workplace and personally. I have recruited support in the workplace and put in place systems I have been trying to finalise for some time. Moreover than anything else I have looked at my own direction and career path making decisions to pursue a happy and rewarding direction making commitments to upskill and carve a new career path in time.

Course: TPE
Name: Rose Constance

Win Win Goals were very beneficial as gave you clarity on what you are looking to achieve Focus Goals – are excellent as are an excellent way to achieving your win win goals by breaking them down Imperative/Important & Discussion Planner – I am trying to utilise these as I believe they will be very beneficial to me Goal Setting – made easy by breaking it down on Goal sheet form Loved having all those templates to choose from. I have not used them all know but have downloaded them to use while I hopefully continue working on LMA

Course: TPE
Name: Darren Hewitt

I really enjoyed having access to the templates. Also meeting people from all different industries and learning how they deal with similar challenges .

Course: TPE
Name: Steve Burden

I honestly appreciated this course! I’m becoming more effective and efficient in many areas (of both professional and personal pursuits), with every opportunity to apply the skills learned at LMA’s ‘The Performance Edge’… I’ve rarely been so productive, as when I’m driven by S.M.A.R.T goals, intelligently documented agendas and the accountability that comes from involving my whole team in the growth of my company. Articulating and structuring a previously loose job description, to something more deliberate and purpose driven, is helping me refine exactly where I want to take my company’s ultimate direction – and within a few short months, has netted significant and tangible benefits for my staff, myself and my clients. The difference that just a few strategies has made to my work/life balance has also been noticed by friends, family and colleagues alike. Thanks for a flexible, sensible and very helpful learning experience. I will certainly be interested in further educational offerings with LMA.

Course: TPE
Name: Emma Somerville

I enjoyed modules on personalities – colour cards; communication and team development and adding to that empowerment. My goals become more of a working progress and how I go about achieving them really became more important to me than actually achieving them. Like planning and tracking etc. I don’t think I was very good at the focus goals, perhaps some extra push on these would have been good like someone making us more accountable to setting them and working on them. however in saying that I think I can now incorporate focus goals into my weeks in general and in planning week to week.

Course: TPE
Name: Linda Schlencker

The best part of the course is the “putting in into action” with the weekly assignments. I found many of the tools LMA provided very relevant and useful to use to change habits.

Course: TPE
Name: Carol Sullivan

I was in a little bit of a slump when I stared the course. The positive energy and enthusiasm encouraged me to focus on my business goals and helped me put steps into place so that could achieve them. Some of goals I have achieved but a couple are still on going but through my action steps I know I am going to get there. This course helped me to get more organised and to procrastinate less.

Course: SSTLS
Name: Mitchell Graham

The module covering time utilisation was of great benefit to both me and staff, the tools in this module were an effective way for us all to maximise the value of our time and respect the value of time to others. Action steps identified in each goal made the possible achievement of the goals manageable and realistic when setting them. I particularly appreciated sharing the challenges of each module with the other course attendees, I found them to be supportive in each of the classroom activities and projects. From this course staff and I have fine tuned our weekly toolbox meetings, resulting in them gaining confidence and empowerment.

For me most of these learnings I knew of and have dealt with over the years, so it was all about refreshing and fine tuning my way of doing business and taking on board extra knowledge of how to do so. I did lack some motivation because of circumstances but I was kept on track and am appreciative of completion. The course group worked very well together and bonded well in my eyes. Bill provided the glue which was great. The overall achievements will be gained in time after these learning tools have been put in place. All in all, a very good experience.

During this transition I have been able to focus on capturing lessons learnt for past temporary works designs used, and implement the most efficient design on our new project. Over the last year my personal goals and action steps have provided focus to allow me to run 2 half marathons, book in time for a 5 week holiday with my family and join a regular fitness group at my new location.

the most enjoyable aspects of the course where the weekly sessions where all course participants had the opportunity to get together to discuss things and assist each other. I have definitely seen a very big difference in my approach to my work and how I now prioritise and allocate tasks within my team. I am now regularly meeting with my team member every Monday morning and I am also attending two gym sessions per week during my lunch hour. (Tuesdays and Fridays)

Course: TPE
Name: Leanne Cronin

I think it was a great opportunity to meet people from all different professional environments and share ideas, outcomes and processes with them. It was a good sized group that allowed meaningful and appropriate discussions. Everyone in the course was there for the right reasons and were willing to share ideas etc. I have introduced a number of the tools into my working day and was surprised that a measuring tool that I hadn’t thought of was to compare the timesheets from the equivalent busy times last year and through the adoption of these tools my “flex time ” and general working hours have reduced significantly.

I enjoyed identifying were I spent my time and how easy I found it to make my self more productive by improving my organisation skills and time management. I also enjoyed setting and achieving Win-Win Goals and focus goals. I found the course insightful in regards to making you aware of things that you do (behaviours/conditioning), that you don’t realise you do. I found the course helped me become more aware. I learned that I need to Listen more attentively in both my personal and professional areas. I enjoyed the course a lot and look forward to the opportunity to do more training.

Course: TPE
Name: Damian Irvine

ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS I LEARNED FROM THE COURSE WAS AN ABOVE THE LINE ATTITUDE. MY JOB CAN BE VERY STRESSFULL AND A POSITIVE ATTITUDE AT ALL TIMES HELPS NOT GET DISTRACTED OR BOGGED DOWN. A REALISATION ALSO CAME THAT BEING MORE ORGANISED AND STRUCTURED HAS HELPED ME NOT GET BEHIND IN MY WORKLOAD. THIS ALONG WITH RECOGNISING WHAT MY HPA ACTIVITIES ARE AND SETTING ASIDE TIME EVERY DAY TO CONCENTRATE ON THESE, AS WELL AS DELGATING LESS IMPORTANT TASKS HAVE IMPROVED MY PRODUCTIVITY DRAMATICALLY. THERE ARE STILL MANY MORE TOOLS THAT CAN BE IMPLEMENTED OVER TIME WHICH WILL BE VERY HELPFULL.

the most enjoyable aspects were working in teams and Olga always made sure we were not in the same teams. the training was full of positive energy and plenty of laughs which made for a great learning environment. The circle of life was a real eye opener in how one or two areas of your life can be forgotten. Time management, being aware of time and delegation was my biggest achievement

Course: SSTLS
Name: Nicole Cogan

I loved LMA I just wish it was not so rushed I have to admit I did find it to rushed . The have gained so much from this course my communication skills, planning, feedback, all the tools are wonderful i.e. feedback log, discussion planner, etc. etc. I honestly use them all. What did I enjoy? Honestly everything, every module I got so much out of and I believe I have grown so much and will continue to do so . I love the fact my team members have all commented on the change in me and I have noticed to. My partner actually said the other day how relaxed I am when I come home and happier.

Course: SSTLS
Name: Wayne Sewell

Win win goals of proving staff training for all my team members on a regular basis. Focus goals are great and setting my self a focus goal daily helps me get things done I would normally leave for another day.

Course: SSTLS
Name: Heather Eastick

The most enjoyable aspect of the course was the training in the boardroom with Olga and the whole team. We had great conversations, honest and frank discussions, and it sounds corny but I believe we bonded over the homework/assignments etc. Lots of things were discussed in the training that I don’t believe would necessarily have been raised in office meetings. I guess because we all had to open up to some extent we felt safer doing so in the presence of each other and Olga to keep us on track. We had some great laughs but we covered an awful lot in those sessions. I also found that we had conversations during the week with each other and it made us all so much more aware of others time and their HPA’s compared to ours. It also showed how differently we all think as often several people came at a problem from a different angle. I wonder if it would have been as good as it was if we hadn’t had Olga, bright, funny but she could zoom in on the person not concentrating or who you could tell didn’t want to answer. I never felt uncomfortable in the training sessions and really felt as though Olga really cared and wanted us to succeed. A huge amount of work but I am really glad that I was asked/told to attend this training.
