LMA’s facilitation of the High Performance Management coarse has tapped into skills I never knew I had. The HPA platform has enable me to focus on what is really important for the business and how we can develop our people into invaluable resources. I would recommend any company of any industry to consider the investment of sending their people to the LMA High Performance Management Coarse.

Interaction between participants at workshops. A definite increase in my self confidence when dealing with my staff. An increase in my staffs belief in my abilities.
The course really brings to the forefront of your mind key points you can use to be a better employee and manager. Often it is things you already know but that get lost in day to day life as you are so busy so it is really good at reminding you of all these techniques and theories and putting them back to practical use. Additionally, having other course members at workshops to learn from and bounce ideas and discussion from is very interesting and you can learn a lot from their experiences also.

Great course.
The most enjoyable part of the course was just discussing management issues – it is something I have an interest in (hence why I studied business management originally) but something you just don’t get time for in the office place.

I found the LMA training course a great benefit to me and my team, one of my goals was better computer skills I actually enjoy using the computer now. Camille Bath is a great teacher she has a great sense of humour and a pleasure to be around I wish her all the best in the future.

win win goals have been achieved and are ongoing. ability to put things in perspective and turn them into goals.
I have been able to achieve the three business goals I set… 1. For the mowing team to work to a program and thus be to a degree autonomous in their work. 2. A higher level of Workplace Health and Safety which I have been able to deliver since becoming the Safety Rep for our area. 3. A 10 minute morning prestart meeting which they attend without asking now and puts every one on the same page for the days/weeks work. Also gives a chance to air any issues that may be hovering about.
I was able to improve my relationships at work and at home using a number of techniques shown to me while attending this course. My ability to provide feedback but remain calm and positive has improved.
I achieved all my fortnightly goals .
Provided a confidence boost to keep going in a supervisory role and to view problems/obstacles as opportunities.
I am starting to achieve goals and prioritize my tasks. I am also focusing on all my staffs goals.
A lot of goals were accomplished the course was a learning curve for me Camille was very patient understanding her communication skills are fantastic
I have been able to interact with the staff more and get to know them a little better. I got to know their goals a little more. My Win Win Goal was to see my typing ability improve.
I will have completed my win win goals. I am happy that I completed my personal goal. The course was challenging but I feel I have gained a lot out of it. My days have been more planned and I am spending more time on HPA’s.

The course was well timed, as I took on the management of new teams during a period of significant change for the organization. Lesson regarding the value cycle, the change continuum, phases of team development all assisted me in managing and leading my teams to higher performance. Tools such as the decision analyser, , meeting planner, important/imperative to do planner, delegation planner were practical for myself as well as for my team to use in organizing their teams, following up with actions, staying focused, driving high performance. The role play sessions were equally valuable, particularly the more difficult conversations we as managers need to have with team members to bring performance back on track. At the beginning of this course I set out to improve my management and leadership skills by understanding the latest in industry thinking through LEAD surveys, exposure to the latest in high performance management material, tools, training techniques and gaining insights into different organizations through interaction with fellow course participants. I have definitely achieved this goal, but more importantly I have developed new confidence and motivation to continue this development journey and encourage my teams and colleagues to the same.
The workshop environment provides a fantastic platform away from work, with other like-minded emerging leaders where you can share ideas, trials and tribulations and experiences. It genuinely is a sanctuary to express opinions and feelings and bounce concepts off one another. For me it’s the real essence of LMA and the core mechanism of the course. If my diary would allow it I’d have happily attended weekly as I felt I gained a great insight into how Managers from all walks of industry conduct themselves, their tools, stories and ideas. Having progressed from Cert IV directly into the Dip it’s been quite a long process but I feel the biggest change in myself is my confidence, belief and realisation. The little bit of uncertainty that I may have had form time-to-time a year ago has gone and I truly feel like I am leading a team and making a difference. I particularly enjoyed the concept of hosting LMA workshops away from the ‘class room’ and visit participants work places. This was a great way of broadening the mind. From a personal perspective I have quit smoking and am slowly but surely doing more and more exercise; swimming and jogging.
The workshops were always enjoyable and engaging, Clint was an excellent facilitator. The course folder and the way the modules are divided means it is an excellent reference guide full of useful tools and handouts. I accomplished all of my win win goals but my main achievement was identifying my HPAs and those areas where I was spending too much of my time.
I enjoyed the course and got some really useful tools out of it. I enjoyed the work around time management and delegation and this has made the biggest difference to my performance at work. These 2 aspects have improved my productivity in the workplace and probably freed up 3/4 hours a week for me to spend on HPAs. On a personal note, the goal setting tools have enabled me to get back into an exercise regime and I’ve lost 5kg to date since the course started.
Took me a while to get the cds onto iTunes and into my iPhone. Once done I listened to them on the way to work and back again. Gave me the tools to delegate more and get through some very stressful times at work. Most measurable outcomes were successful launch of a new product which has been well received in the business. This was due to ensuring sufficient time was spent planning important tasks. The improved leadership has increased confidence leading the team.
This course was pivotal in highlighting the need for me to better manage my HPA’s. I now set daily HPA’s and focus goals which enhances my ability to manage my work load, my team and allows me the time to increase my stakeholder engagement requirements
Some of the most enjoyable aspects of completing this course have been the not so obvious ones. From gaining confidence that I’m leading people in the right way to using the “tell me about it” techniques. Although at first it felt a little overwhelming in its content and assignments, the course really tested you in a pressure packed environment that mirrors work life today. Changing habits isn’t easy, but the way this course has been developed has forced me to look at myself and change those bad habits for the better.
The 3 big successes for me were: – Improvement in planning and getting more structure in my working week – An enhanced self awareness with regards to my strengths and weaknesses – Smacking my personal goals into the next ball park
I particularly enjoy the activity based experienced which we occasionally undertook (the puzzle piece/Project Management task) and the “structure built from drinking straws” task. Activities such as this are not only fun but memorable and experiences and lesson’s learned from these tasks really stick. Retention of the information/material is enhanced.
I’m proud to say that I have achieved all my personal and business goals and the project I set up also delivered all of its goals as originally planned. What I learned from the first part of the course, is that I am a goal driven personal and once I commit to something and figure out a pathway forward, than 9 times out of 10 it will happen. But most of all, my biggest learning from the course has been the confidence I have in my leadership style. I have always struggled with the concept of being a ‘manager’, but the realisations and learnings I’ve had from this course, has shown me that my natural coach/mentor leadership style is a good thing and works well. I guess I have to caveat that with also understanding that in certain situations I will have to adapt my leadership style, but I know that my foundation is solid.
As some of my WWAGs have yet to be achieved (they will!!) I’d like to focus more on what I got from the course, rather than my accomplishments. As mentioned before, I was sceptical about the course at first but I can honestly say that it has had a massive influence and has change my way of working. I came to realise that after 25 years of working, I had got into a rut. The Performance Edge shook me out of that. I have adopted several tools within my working structure, the main being the Imperative / Important list along with the discussion planner. The crossing off of tasks completed is very satisfying and empowering! My time management has improved massively and I no longer feel that I am overwhelmed by my workload.
